Description: This extraordinary journey takes you to “Serengeti” which means endless plain in the Maasai language for an out of game safari. You’ll also have an excellent opportunity to experience the Ngorongoro crater, a UNESCO world heritage that lies within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area as well as Lake Manyara National Park; famous for its tree climbing Lion.

Day 1 - Arusha

On arrival at Kilimanjaro / Arusha airport, you’ll be met and transferred to Lake Duluti Arusha Serena hotel.

Day 2 - Arusha to Lake Manyara

After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions (150 km). Your lodge commands panoramic views across the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Here you have time to relax before an afternoon game drive.

Day 3 - Serengeti

Drive to the world-famous Serengeti National Park with game viewing en route (235 km)

Day 4 - Serengeti

Breakfast followed by a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. Or take an early morning balloon flight over the Serengeti (optional extra) followed by a ‘bubbly’ bush breakfast before a full-day game drive.

Day 5 - Ngoro Ngoro

Drive to the Ngorongoro Crater via Olduvai Gorge (200 km). Lunch at Serena NgoroNgoro Lodge which is perched on the jagged rim of the Crater. The afternoon is at leisure.

Day 6 - Ngoro Ngoro

Drive down into the Crater for a full-day of game viewing with a picnic lunch. This extinct volcano plays host to wildebeest, zebras, buffaloes, gazelles, elephants, rhinos and big cats. Visit a local Masai village (time permitting). .

Day 7 - Arusha

Return to Arusha (200 km). Optional lunch at a local restaurant. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar Airport. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to  the Zanzibar hotel.

Day 8 - Arusha - Zanzibar

Return to Arusha (200 km). Optional lunch at a local restaurant. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar Airport. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to  the Zanzibar hotel.

Day 9-11 - Zanzibar

Spend your 3 full days relaxing at Zanzibar

Day 12 - Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Zanzibar International Airport where you will take a light aircraft flight back to Dar es Salaam Airport for your connecting flight back home
